		<description>Once in Puerto Rico an older American woman (older than me, that is) said something about my Canadian accent, and I said back (with a smile) something to the effect that I didn&#039;t have an accent--she did. I&#039;ll never forget the surprised and offended look on her face. Apparently it hadn&#039;t occurred to her that we each perceive accents differently depending on what we&#039;re used to.

I&#039;m rather partial to West Virginian accents myself!</description>
