I've always loved trees and that poem, and I love what you say in this post. Thank you.(I missed you and your family on Sunday too, but you were living out your beliefs expressed here, and that's another beautiful thing.)

Being freed from self-inflicted imagined responsibility to save God's reputation, we are also free to trust Him. Maybe simply trusting Him (adoring Him) in all life's "goods" and "bads" will be as apt a wake up to a watching world as God's tree, or God's sunrise, or God's most polished apologist. Great post.

"Only we must not lay aside imagination for logic, nor logic for imagination, but use both under the Lordship of Christ for the glory of God. We will find, I believe, that each helps the other."

I'm so glad to have read this post, and especially these two sentences.

What would have even better is to have heard you say them in person last Sunday :o)
